Statistics Canada recently celebrated the outstanding achievements of its employees at the 43rd Annual Awards of Excellence, recognizing individuals and teams for their dedication, innovation and contributions to public service throughout 2025.
Among this year’s honourees was Tony Labillois, Tony served as Champion for Persons with Disabilities for more than 22 years and has played an important leadership role within the Canadian Accessibility Network (CAN) since 2020, serving as Chair of CAN’s Advisory Council and Vice-Chair of its Governing Council. His career also included pivotal contributions to the modernization of several key statistical programs at Statistics Canada.
