This CAN Connect Forum focuses on navigating return-to-work policies, accommodations, and flexible work arrangements for employees with disabilities. - Lucille Berlinguette-Saumure: Lucille is an accessibility professional with over 20 years of experience. She devoted 33 years of service to the City of Ottawa, and from 2008 to 2024, she led the city’s implementation of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act. Lucille is a Director at Accessibility Standards Canada, a business owner, and serves on many committees, sharing her expertise and lived experience, to help build a more inclusive city, province, country, and world.

- Erin Murray, Environment and Climate Change Canada: Erin is a Policy Advisor at Environment and Climate Change Canada and a member of the Federal Forum of speakers with Lived Experience. She shares her lived experience with mental illness and neurodiversity to promote dialogue on mental wellness and inclusivity in the workplace. She hopes that sharing her story and tools that have helped her can inspire change and create a more psychologically safe workplace.
- Pina D’Intino, Aequum Global Access Inc. : Pina is a sought-out consultant and international speaker that actively promotes accessibility and inclusion from both an executive and grassroots perspective. She worked in the banking industry for almost 30 years advancing accessibility. In 1999, after losing her sight, she has pioneered and founded a cross-institutional hub for accessibility and inclusion. Pina also has extensive experience in developing and facilitating accessibility strategies and plans, delivering customised education and training and actively continues to develop programs and resources for organizations such as CAN and IAAP. In 2013, Pina received the QE2 Diamond Jubilee medal by Canada’s Lt. Governor the Honourable David Onley for her work in accessible employment. Pina completed the Inclusive Design Program at OCADU and developed a course for Mohawk College on accessible organizational frameworks. Pina is also the Co-Lead of the CAN Education and Training Community of Practice.
- Maureen Haan, Canadian Council on Rehabilitation and Work (CCRW): Maureen has served as the President and CEO of the Canadian Council on Rehabilitation and Work (CCRW) since 2012. As a recognized leader in the cross-disability sector, Maureen serves as Canada’s civil society lead on Article 27 (Work and Employment) of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). In 2024, Maureen joined Canada’s G7 Civil Society delegation in Italy, contributing to the Solfagnano Charter and thereby shaping international disability policy and collaboration. Her national leadership has included co-leading the Disability and Work in Canada initiatives, and serving as a Board member of Accessibility Standards Canada and the Canadian Association of Supported Employment (CASE). In recognition of her dedication to disability rights and gender equity, Maureen was the recipient of the inaugural Hummingbird Award from DAWN Canada. Maureen began her career in the Deaf community and is fluent in American Sign Language (ASL).
